[130608] Union J’s George of X-Factor UK covers 2NE1’s Lonely

British boyband Union J have already revealed themselves to be Kpop fans in the past with members citing 2NE1 as an ideal candidate for a collaboration. Now member George has gone one step further and covered 2NE1′s hit song “Lonely”.

He mentioned that singing in Korean was hard as getting the pronunciation correct wasn’t an easy task. Nonetheless he preserved and did a small cover of the group’s song on live television. The boys were appearing on the daytime show “Loose Women” for a short interview to discuss their latest single and their new-found fame.

The hosts were quick to mention George’s hidden talent which they suggested could be useful when they become “big in Asia”. It turns out that George’s hidden talent is the ability to sing in Korean which he admits isn’t “amazing”. Regardless,  George did a great job at attempting to sing a song that’s not in his mother tongue whilst simultaneously introducing Kpop to the British masses.

This isnt the first time they have shown their love for 2NE1, a while ago they mentioned wanting to tour with 2NE1.
